Sales Power specialist conference 2016.

Sales Power is the name of the first specialist conference for management and senior staff in sales and distribution. Sales Power is a completely new event – and a new brand in the Swiss specialist conference segment. Created and developed by standing ovation for the Swiss Marketing Forum (SMF).

“Have I got sales power?” That was the core question at the inaugural conference. More than 210 CEOs and sales specialists made their way to the GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rüschlikon on 8 and 9 November 2016 to hear some on-point responses. They wanted to learn first-hand which factors will be vital in tomorrow’s competitive arena.

High-powered, high-calibre, highly professional.

In times of upheaval, sales power fills a gap: an exchange of experiences and opinions between decision-makers from the sales and distribution sector. Conference highlights included numerous presentations and focus workshops on such topics as emotion, change, leadership, strategy and dialogue marketing.

The first day was reserved for a select group of managers. Notable experts and executives from top national and international companies focused on the strategic challenges facing the sector. Opportunities for in-depth discussions arose over aperitifs, a standing lunch and a networking dinner.

The second day was aimed at a wider target group comprising sales professionals in middle and lower management. Internationally sought-after trainers and coaches presented new techniques and tools for sustainably enhancing sales and performance.

Getting the message across.

Over a span of two days, the keynote speakers inspired their audience with statements on the conference’s headline topic. The following quotes convey an impression:

“Every company is a market leader. It’s merely a question of definition.”
Professor Christian Belz, Full Professor of Marketing, University of St. Gallen and Director of the Institute of Marketing

“We have to change our business model, not change the customer.”
Thomas Bahc, Swiss Life, Head of the Sales Force

“Digitalisation is nothing new. Every product is cloudified.”
Fredy Portmann, Swisscom, Head of Large Enterprises

“Do you want to be right or happy? Opt for the second and allow other opinions.”
Simone C. Hensch, style and etiquette expert

The beginning of a new tradition.

standing ovation partnered the SMF throughout the concept design, realisation, production and CI creation phases and also provided all communication services. The pithy key visuals guaranteed maximum recognition for the new platform from the start.

Sales Power is geared strictly to corporate practice.

Uwe Tännler, Präsident Swiss Marketing Forum

For Swiss Marketing Forum President Uwe Tännler the new event is a complete success. “Sales Power is geared strictly to corporate practice,” stresses the HR Manager, “it’s not just about models, but also about putting them to concrete use in the market.”

To be held once a year, future conferences will discuss burning issues in the sales and distribution community – retaining the compact format and tasteful ambience. We await the 2017 forum with eager anticipation.
