ONE ETH – Celebrating Diversity
A Festival that Unites Cultures
ETH Zurich, one of the world’s leading universities with around 10,000 employees from over 100 countries, is known for its cutting-edge research and cultural diversity. To highlight and celebrate this diversity, standing ovation was tasked with designing a memorable staff event. Under the theme “One ETH – Celebrating Diversity,” a unifying experience inspired by the idea of a global journey was brought to life.
On the evening of the event, the Hönggerberg campus was transformed into a vibrant world tour. Eight themed zones offered immersive cultural experiences featuring food, music, dance, and art from around the globe. A total of 3,800 guests came together to enjoy a festival of cultures that encouraged connection and exchange.
Eight uniquely designed areas took guests on an inspiring journey through different cultures. From exotic food stalls to beautifully curated decor, each zone told its own story.
Fifty food stands invited guests on a flavorful adventure. Whether Asian specialties, Mediterranean favorites, or regional Swiss treats—there was something for every palate.
Twenty performances—including music, dance, acrobatics, and close-up acts—brought cultural variety to life. These moments of shared experience captivated the audience and built lasting connections.
Guests were encouraged to participate in hands-on activities, from henna tattoos to dance workshops, offering a deeper and more personal encounter with different cultures.
The ETH Zurich staff celebration was far more than just a party—it was a true festival of community and inspiration. Guests experienced a powerful blend of cultural diversity, creative staging, and shared moments that brought people together.
