Läderach Factory Tour: Bringing the Brand to Life
On November 13, 2020, the House of Läderach opened its doors, welcoming guests from all over the world. This one-of-a-kind destination blends a café, factory store, chocolate exhibit, live production, and a hands-on atelier—all under one roof. We brought these elements together to form a cohesive, brand-strengthening experience.
The Läderach Story
Läderach’s core values – freshness, craftsmanship, and Swiss heritage – were at the heart of our storytelling. In the custom-designed factory tour, we positioned Läderach as an approachable and authentic brand. Visitors embark on an interactive journey that highlights every step of the chocolate-making process, offering a tactile and visual brand experience that’s both informative and engaging.
Bold imagery, crisp messaging, and a modern visual style guide visitors through the customer journey from cocoa beans in Costa Rica to chocolate counters in Glarus, Switzerland.

The Journey to Discover Freshness
To create this immersive experience, our project team delved deep into the world of chocolate. Collaborating with Läderach and architect Kurt Merki Jr., we developed a comprehensive storyline and thoughtfully designed each touchpoint along the customer journey. This allowed visitors to gradually uncover the essence of freshness – handcrafted quality, fresh ingredients, short production times, and Läderach’s own chocolate shops with a fresh delivery service.
A key attraction is the interactive installation: the touch wall, where visitors can trigger and watch the production of FrischSchoggi™, mini mousse, or truffles. The brand experience is further enriched by cinematic displays, created in collaboration with Seed Audio-Visual Communication AG.
Tasteful Reach
Our communication strategy seamlessly connected the on-site customer experience with Läderach’s online presence. With engaging headlines and visually appealing teasers for both feeds and stories, we sparked curiosity and excitement among chocolate lovers. This extended reach helped Läderach grow its community and invited fans to discover the freshness secret behind FrischSchoggi™.

We stand by it
The SRF DOK report of 21.09.23 «Die evangelische Welt der Läderachs – Züchtigung im Namen Gottes» has shocked the whole of Switzerland. We are deeply saddened by the events surrounding the Linth Christian School. They cannot be excused and are in massive contradiction to our own values. We recognized the necessity and importance of taking a clear stand on this issue. What sounds so simple is not always the case. So how do we manage our relationship with a client that is under intense public scrutiny for the misconduct of the previous generation?
We began working with Läderach in 2018, at a time when the generational change in leadership had already occurred. Since then, we have had the opportunity to carry out a number of projects for the company. We have always found Läderach and its employees to be open, tolerant and very respectful – even in times of crisis.
Personal conversations and our agency experience with the company have convinced us that the Läderach brand must be measured by the values that the new management lives by and the performance of its 1,800 employees. This is what we call loyalty in difficult times.
